I do agree with Balozi Morwa that corruption is everywhere. As an example in the 70’s the Swedes were not corrupt but they gradually became corrupt and in 90’s some Swedish migration officials corruptly granted Swedish citizenship to criminals from Eastern countries.
But Tanzania cannot afford the existing level of corruption in the country. Our corruption is destroying the economy of the country to such an extent that the fight against poverty becomes a joke.
We are now harvesting the fruits of 40 years of corruption and that is poverty. We are seeing school examinations being marketed on the streets and we are facing the problem of street children. This that were not there soon after Tanganyika’s independence in 1961.
There warnings even in the Qur’an about corruption. The phrase “DON’T DO CORRUPTION IN THE LAND” comes from the Qur’an.
So any nation or person dealing with corruption will never succeed in this World or in the Hereafter. CORRUPTION LEADS TO THE “HELL” FIRE.
