UNDP Sponsored Programme on Master of Arts in Gender Aware Economics

In order to enhance the capacity of economists, planners and policy makers to systematically integrate gender in economic policy making and management, UNDP through its regional project Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment has initiated the above mentioned programme. The programme, for the Anglophone African countries, is established at the University of Makerere University, Uganda and is now ready to be launched in August 2010 (The programme for Francophone Africa is under preparation).
The purpose of this announcement is to widely share this information with partner organizations (Government departments, Universities, higher learning institutions, NGOs/CSOs, etc) and encourage qualified practitioners to apply for the programme. The deadline for submitting application is 30th June 2010. Applications should be sent directly to the University –Faculty of Economics and Management, Attention: Dr. Bruno Yawe.
We are looking forward to have applications from many representative countries, especially at this pilot stage.
