Dr. Do Duc Dinh is deputy director of the Institute of World Economy in Hanoi, Vietnam and director of the development studies program at the Institute. He was trained in Vietnam, the Soviet Union and Cuba. He has published extensively on economic development in East Asia. He has been a visiting scholar in Canada and the US. He is working with the project on a comparison of East Asian and East African development and is preparing a study on East Africa for publication in Vietnam.
