Ms. Lilian Mfugale

Communications Officer

Lilian Mfugale is the Communications Officer at ESRF. She brings over four years of experience in strategic communications and knowledge management within the development sector, supporting organizations to strengthen their visibility, stakeholder engagement and public positioning.

Prior to joining ESRF, Lilian worked in programme communications, where she supported donor-funded initiatives, high-level engagements and the production of communication materials including briefs, newsletters, media content and digital campaigns. She has experience translating technical information into clear annd accessible messaging for diverse audiences.

Lilian holds a Master’s degree in International Relations  from the Barcelona Institute of International Studies (IBEI)  – a joint degree awarded by the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the University of Barcelona and the Pompeu Fabra University in Spain and an undergraduate degree in Sociology from the University of Kent in England. Lilian is committed to advancing clear, evidence-informed communication that supports policy dialogue and institutional credibility.
