Mr. Zakayo Zakaria

Monitoring and Evaluation Expert

Zakayo Zakaria is a Research Fellow cum Monitoring and Evaluation Expert at the Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF). He is also a PhD student in Economics at the University of Dar es Salaam. Zakayo is also a CEGA Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley and a STARS Fellow at the Cornell University.

His research focuses on improving development outcomes in low and middle-income countries, with particular interests in aging and pension systems; education and youth empowerment; health economics; food security and nutrition. His work combines rigorous empirical methods with policy engagement and contributing to evidence-based decision-making in Tanzania and beyond.
